Pool Transport was started as a family venture by Sarel and Hettie Pool in 1955. The enterprise, then known as 'SN Pool Karweiers', delivered general cargo in and around Worcester.

The personal dedicated service provided by SN Pool proved to be a highly successful recipe and in 1965 the company SN Pool (Pty) Ltd was formed, since trading as Pool Transport.

The family ties in the business continued, when first Ulrich Pool and then later, Helmut Pool joined the ranks to strengthen the personal family touch to the professional transport service being provided.
